The blade has shallow, spiked teeth but does not include a razor. To use the blade, gently brush the hair in the direction of the fur growth. The teeth of the blade pull away loose hairs. The blade can be opened up by pulling both sides of the handle in opposing directions. Use when closed for small dogs or smaller areas on the dog’s body, or opened up to remove loose hairs from larger areas such as down the dog’s back.
